I’ve been in a nostalgic Doctor Who mood recently so I spent last weekend rewatching the two movie adaptions of the long-running BBC science fiction series: Dr. Who and the Daleks, from 1965, and Daleks’ Invasion Earth 2150 A.D, from 1966. The Black Hole by Jack Kirby

Here at ‘Tain’t the Meat… It’s the Humanity!, our mission statement has always been to uncover lost or forgotten pop culture curiosities from the worlds of comics and film. This week we’ve unearthed a little gem from the late 1970s that scratches both of those itches at once — a newspaper comic strip adaptation of Disney’s The Black Hole, drawn by legendary comic book artist Jack (King!) Kirby.
